Estier is a stage-top optical coherence tomography (OCT) instrument that allows non-invasive analysis of the 3D structures including microvessels/tubular structures, tissues, spheroids and organoids. As OCT provides an advantageous platform to visualize the in vitro and ex vivo dynamics of the 3D structures conveniently, it can be used as an alternative visualization/monitoring method to obtain quantitative information about the morphological changes occurring in 3D cell culture samples.
- Estier OCT technology enables lable-free and non-invasive tomographic imaging and monitoring of microvessels, neovasculature formation to quantify and evaluate morphological changes in a time lapse manner. Ideal for tumor invasion assays and evaluation of efficacy of molecules, such as, Avastin which is a well known anti-angiogeneic drug.
- The ability to measure true volume (X,Y and Z directions) of 3D structures (Spheroids/Organoids) enables a true comparison of drug efficacy in preclinical models, e.g., in vitro/ex vivo platforms using Patient derived cells versus xenografts.
- Detects necrotic regions and quantifies volume, internal cavities, tubular structures etc., with impressive focus
- A cost-effective supplementary system to an existing imaging platform
